Day 1
You will fly with Lan Chile from Frankfurt/Germany via Madrid to Santiago de Chile

Day 2
The planetarium of Santiago de Chile Arrival at Santiago de Chile and transfer to the hotel. At afternoon you will start to a small city-tour with the bus, included the planetary of Santiago de Chile.
Chile's largest planetarium is located in Santiago's university. As part of this, the main goal is to combine the education and the culture on an innovative, fastidious and nevertheless maintaining level.The dome hall does not respond only for astronomy- and space interested people a very good ambiente. The outstanding audiovisual equipment of the house is used also for conferences, seminars and special meetings.

Day 3
At the morning you will have a transfer to the airport, and you will fly to Antofagasta. After that you will reach your hotel. Enjoy in the afternoon a city tour, with which you learn the important objects of interest of Antofagasta to know, including the historical city center and the main place Colón with the clock tower, which was had a feeling for to Big Ben and a was gift of the English colony, the shopping street Arturo Prat, the old port and the historical Bolivian trading firm, today a museum. A short excursion leads us to the "La Portada", the nature momnument of Antofagasta: the gigantic yellow sandstone rock, which was rinsed out by the strength of the ocean to an enormous gate. You will stay overnight in the Holiday Inn Express hotel, Antofagasta.

Day 4
Observatory of Paranal: VLT Today you will have attendance of the observatories at Paranal. Cerro Paranal, first-class location of the famous Very Large Telescope plant (VLT) with the four 8,2 m large telescopes 'Antu', 'Kueyen', 'Melipal' and 'Yebup' is located on a height of 2.635 m of Antofagasta. This telescope complex is located 120 kilometers southern with three further 1,8 m auxiliary telescopes, the world-wide largest and most modern plant to the optical interferometry. Vor before-viewing only, these particularly 2,5 m and 4 m a survey telescope were built. Coordinates: 24° 40' S, 70° 25' W. You will stay for the night.



Day 5
The Moon Valley: Valle de la Luna Travel toSan Pedro de Atacama. With the dusk you go on a trip into the moon valley, Valle de la Luna, in order to enjoy the sunset in this bizarr, moon-similar landscape with their bright colors. Strange rock formations and the Lincancabur volcano in the background make this trip to an unforgettable experience. After sunset you turn back to San Pedro de Atacama and stay overnight in the Kimal hotel.






Day 6
In the morning you are on the way to the Salar de Atacama. On the way you visit the village Toconao, it's houses and church was builded up from white volcanic stone bricks, which lends a completely own face to the place. SPACE (San Pedro de Atacama Celestial Explorations) The tower is standing completely separately from the church on the small green main place. You drive far to the Salar de Atacama. The 3000 qkm enormous salt lake, richly at minerals, like boraxes and lithium, is the habitat for different kinds of flamingos. The lagoon Chaxa, part of the "Reserva Nacional de los flamingos", offers outstanding possibilities of observing these birds from the proximity in their natural environment. Subsequently, we drive back to San Pedro de Atacama. In the early evening you will appear in the Caracoles Street No. 166 in the office of SPACE (San Pedro de Atacama Celestial exploration).
From here you will start against 20.00 o'clock after a short introduction to a completely special, approx. three-hour "star route" into the Atacama desert. Subsequently, you drive size back into the city and stay overnight in the Kimal Hotel.

Day 7
You will early get up and you will visit the geysires of El Tatio. The geysire's are on a height of 4.500m over the sea level on the Altiplano and offers a spectacular play on the early morning. There are approx. 40 geysire's and thermal-pour. The early sunlight will cover the fontaens of the gysire's and will probably remains for everyone an unforgettable memory. After this experience you continue to drive to Caspana and Chiu Chiu and return in the evening to San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 8
Cerro Paranal This morning you are brought to the airport and fly to La Serena. Enjoy in the afternoon a city tour including the oldest part of the city with the main place, cathedral (1844) and the González Videla house, in this house today is located city museum. The "Mercado La Recova" presents, which has to offer the region at potteries, materials, carpets and fruits. You will visit the archaeological museum with its unusual collection of Diaguita/Molle Indians exhibits and ceramics and afterwards a great view of the lookout point of the university in La Sarena. From there you can see also the monumental of Faro - the lighthouse is the landmark of La Serena. Along 8 km are enough beaches "Avenida del Mar" pulsates the quirlige beach life with many restaurants, pubs and hotels. In the evening you meet to a common meal with your traveler's. You will stay overnight in the La Serena Plaza hotel.

Day 9
Observatory La Silla Today you will visit the observatory of La Silla.
La Silla, the first southern large observatory of the ESO is appropriate for 160 km north of La Serena and accommodates on 2400 m height altogether 17 telescopes. Main instruments are that 3.5 m NTT telescope, 3.6 m a telescope and a 2.2 m telesscope. Here are located the innovative technic, e.g. the active and the adaptive optics were converted and tested. Coordinates: 29° 15' S, 70° 44' W. You stay overnight again in the La Serena Plaza hotel with dinners.

Day 10
After the breakfast you will dirvetoward the Elqui Tales to the Valle del Elqui, how the Chilean's calls it. The Valle del Elqui is one of the most beautiful oasis valley in Chile, with vineyards and fruit plants. Here the grapes very used for the production of Pisco, the famous Chilean liquor, or for raisins. The special combination of mountains and desert in this valley provides for one of the clearest skies on ground connection. Already the Inkas attached a special mirror-image-ritual meaning to this valley. Today the valley exercises further an attraction on those, which are interested in newer sciences and the occultism. Many "visible things" actually are in the night sky and many of the prominent astronomers of the world work in some of the world-best observatories in this region.
Vicuña is the center of the Pisco production. Pisco is the traditional Chilean liquor (Trester), which is burned from grapes. During our stay you will visit a Pisco plant and the pertinent flamery, and definetely you have to taste also a glas of Pisco!
At the evening in the La Serena Plaza hotel you will enjoy your dinner and stay for one night there again.

Day 11
Today you will depart via Santiago de Chile

Day 12
Arrival in Germany. A very experienced voyage has found it's end.
